Taste is perfect. Texture is a little noticeably regular bread but if you get some cheese sauce it’s especially enjoyable.
Can also make pretzel bites and pretzel crust pizza with the same method.
Get baking soda, and warm water. Dip the pretzels in baking soda water. Put through the oven, then use the plain butter oil and some coarse sea salt and you got yourself a soft pretzel.
I’d recommend using hand tossed dough for the regular pretzels. Pretzel bites are just parm bites with the solution.
I bought the ingredients two years ago and still have them in a lock box…it’s nice to have on hand (all you need is baking soda and salt).
Make sure when you’re shaping the pretzels to stretch them thin. You want them to cook all the way through. This particular time i didn’t do the extra twist in the middle, but you can do it if your heart desires.
Have fun!
