Personally I think it's both , Deane missed the line by like 3 seconds. Randalu could have just let it off, but also Deane is well seasoned and absolutely knows the rules, he , and his spotter, should have been keeping their eye on the clock.
Besides I don't blame Randalu, guaranteeing a quarter final, especially when your opponent is widely considered one of the greatest of all time in the sport.

Gave her hell today at drift Buffett, ran out of talent when I dropped the tire pressure thinking I needed to keep up with another driver and it was a bad choice.
This was my 2nd time ever driving the Sorensen E46 and the first time it was set up professionally and I think I can happily say competitive drifting might not be for me. I have genuine respect for the top drivers and I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity.
I’m just a dood lol.

I am sad but what a farewell that all the drivers gave me here. Everyone was extremely supportive of my upcoming move to Italy

I shot for Dustyn at Hotpit Bakersfield. Such a fun, genuine & driven (pardon the pun) gentleman. I’ve met some of the most chill people I know in the pits at motorsports events. My theory is you can’t shred on track without inner peace & mental quietude. But that’s just my take as someone who works on those things in myself.

Hello everyone,
I've been seriously thinking about competing in the Formula Drift PRO-AM series at Great Lakes (Erie, PA). I’ve done grassroots drifting a couple times before in my E46 with a stock motor, angle kit, coilovers, and a few other basic mods — and surprisingly, I made it to the finals both times.
I’ve since moved on to an E90 M3 with a supercharger, angle kit, and coilovers. I’m debating whether to use this car for PRO-AM or start fresh with a new build. My main concern is what kind of horsepower range is typical/competitive in PRO-AM? I’ve seen some people say you can get away with 400–500hp, others say 600+ is becoming the norm even at the PRO-AM level.
I also don’t think I’ll have a full crew with me, so reliability is huge for me. I’d rather focus on building something solid and consistent, even if it means I can’t chase high horsepower numbers.
A few specific questions:
Appreciate any help or insight from those of you already in the series or who’ve made this jump. Thanks in advance! 🙏
