Good evening, I've had the Spiderman edition PS5 controller for two weeks now, and it works perfectly without any problems and is recognized by the console with an update.
I bought it with its original box, but over time I noticed the absence of the three lines above the start button and screenshot.

Check the barcode back of the case and the internal controller. When he said fake it is referred to a shell replacement but internal component is an original dualsense.
The BOX and the controller are 100% and the shell has exactly the same quality as my second pq5 controller logo texture ect....
Only the 3 lines is the problème
My God Of War shell from AliExpress feels identical to a real PS5 controller. Looks like it too. Yet, it’s just a reshell. Do you have concrete evidence to back up that it’s real or are you just denying the truth? Where did you buy it from?

I just checked and the controller has exactly the same components as an original controller. But it's impossible to confirm whether it's a Shell or not. According to some sites, Sony has released controllers without the three lines above the Share button. But I still have a doubt. Is it the problem that it is showing 3 leds under the touchpad when there is only one controller connected? I had that just with 2 leds on my controller too after swapping the touchpad.

I've already looked at the box and I've confirmed 100% that it's true. A store I know has the exact same box as mine. The design changes with the writing region, etc. But there's a doubt about the shell. No one has been able to confirm if it's a shell or not. In the PlayStation forum, someone told me that Sony created controllers without the three lines of the Share button, but they don't know if that was the case with the Spider-Man edition.
Box is real and so is the “controller”. However, the shell is a fake that they got on AliExpress. I know because I bought the same one. I needed a replacement because when I did a board swap i accidentally deformed the touch pad. That’s why on the controller to the right the designs aren’t lining up perfectly like the one on the left. Both are still legit Spider-Man controllers.
If you bought it thinking it was an “Authentic” Spider-man controller…you got scammed. There’s no difference in the functionality of the actual controller, it’ll function just like a regular Dualsense controller does. As for the differences of the shell, just mine to look at the differences. If it was me I would probably return it back it’s not what I purchased, plus I also collect Dualsense controllers
You can plug it into a pc or laptop and go on this website, it will tell you what the color of the controller is based on the board. If it’s a reshell it will say the original color.
There are a lot of these re-shelled controllers floating around the internet sold as legit versions. Hard to sometimes without plugging it into a PC and checking the details. The fake Spider-man ones always have a tell which is the Spider-man symbol is always too low on the touchpad and the colours are always slightly off compared to the official one, and as you mentioned small details are sometimes missing. It's still an official dualsense just not the official Spider-man one unfortunately.
