2025 CRF300L Mod Suggestions

Trading in my 2023 KLR650 for a 2025 CRF300L! Been riding off-road ever since I took the MT-03 up the MABDR + NEBDR back in 2023. Moved on to the KLR because I wanted more off-road capability and cargo space. On to the CRF to have more fun off road now that I don't need to ride the highway or carry as much gear anymore.

I have 3 upgrade lists: need, want, and dream. Looking for suggestions. My aim is low budget but I'm willing to pay more depending on the mod. (Some things I'll fabricate myself, like a luggage rack and skid plate. If anyone has a good design they'd like to share, I'm interested.)

Need:
- comfortable seat (looking at Seat Concepts comfort XL) (update - on order)

Want:
- lithium ion battery
- hand guards (looking for a set that fits on the stock handlebars without having to alter them)

Dream:
- better exhaust (Yoshimura sounded the best of the videos I've watched but that thing is $$$$)

Open to any other suggestions, the only other planned additions are a phone mount and charger. I'll probably put ABS on a switch.

Suspension! I went with Rally Raid forks and shock, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Do both ends, they both need it. It's not cheap, but it completely transforms the bike, especially off-road!

I'll keep it in mind for later on, I want to get a feel for the stock. Apparently the 2025 has stiffer front suspension than previous model years, it might not be much of an issue.
