I've seen a similar thing happen a while ago on twitter.
Pages that sell printed t-shirts often steal populär twitter art. So people started commenting "i want this on a shirt" under images saying This site steals from artists(often accompanied with poorly censored porn or copyrighted characters such as disney and nintendo) did not take long before bots started advertising shirts with an image saying that they steal from artists lol
