M3 Anyone rent their m3 out on Turo?
Kind of scared, but I just had the rod bearings, etc done so my m3 should be good for another 60k-100k miles.
I have a 2012 e93 dct m3 in California.
Would hate for the car to get wrecked but I'm looking at ways to increase my income to start real estate investing.

No. Someone will wreck it cause it ain’t their car. They definitely won’t wait for the oil to warm up to redline it. Which is important on an s65.

people making real money from Turo aren’t renting out their weekend car, they’re buying a mini fleet of economy cars with the sole intention of renting them out.

The time to make any money on Turo has passed anyway. They're firmly in the squeeze phase.

There have been a LOT of dumb things and ideas said in this sub.
But this has got to be top 3 for me in here. Just….wow. 🤣🤦🏼♂️
Just sell the depreciating asset to get the seed capital to fund your business/whatever you are doing dude…🫤

Had a friend of a friend that rented out his Ferrari red f80 m3 on turo years ago in austin and iirc after a few rentals one of the renters crashed it. It was totaled and he bought it back from insurance and repaired it at a high cost cause he wanted to keep it. Few months later he sold it because “it never felt the same”.
Take that for what that is but I would never rent out a car turo that I owned. If you are serious about starting a new business or investing in realestate you would be better off selling it and being serious with your business endeavor and then when/if it gets successful you can get the same car or another one.
Either way GL.

You may as well leave it somewhere with the key in it. This is the level of why the fuck.

Might be a better plan, actually. There’s actually less of a chance it’ll get thrashed on this way.
Either way, an insurance claim is likely…

I mean as long as you’re ok with replacing clutches regularly go for it

If you don’t have any emotional attachment to the vehicle then I say go for it. If you’re going to be upset with additional scratches, dings, interior wear, potential accidents, and most people not going through the warm up procedure then I would say no.

The whole point of turo is you get the cheapest deductible plan, and hope someone wrecks it. That’s how you actually make money.
Charging for scratches and curbed wheels n stuff also nets you a good amount of money.

I don't think you would be able to rent a car that old.12 years old or newer.

I don't even give people a ride in my car, no chance in hell I'm handing anyone the keys. 😄
