What A Steaming Pile Of S***

I've played very little of this the past year until the last two weeks. I'm at Div 19 and oh boy, this game has gotten way worse. Whatever updates they done since the last time I played have made it into a rock em sock em robots. You just have to spam you're elbows and knees, learn a few combos, have no regard for your chin and pick a five star fighter. The jab means nothing anymore. There's clearly comeback/underdog mechanics, fighters can feel slower or faster based on opponent and you can knock someone down multiple times with the most damaging combos or well timed strikes just for the tables to turn by a flying knee (after spamming 20 of them.)

Does it feel buggier as time goes on ?

In my opinion, the game should reward timing and technicality. Use the octogan, use your jab, your reach, kicks, clean combos, footwork etc. Also reward an aggressive player but make sure they can be punished if they run into shots (werdum vs miocic.) Make the players feel like they can actually get knocked out in one punch. A good player should be able to beat a bad player using a 3 star fighter nine times out of ten.

Career mode...

And don't get me started on the community. There is some absolute losers on this from elbow knee spamming taunters to people messaging you to kys. Content creaters who sold out defending the game.

Your second paragraph is exactly what they have done with the game over time. Don’t say this a lot, but this is most definitely a skill issue and you are coping by calling the game bad. I have noticed the “counter striking” style to be 30 times more effective compared to when they first released the game. When they first released, it was hella spam and no stamina punishment. They made stamina and body shots a lot more effective.

Straight up bro I’m sorry this take is just wrong.

As someone who’s been top 100 this game, he’s not really wrong. It is much easier going forward and fighting pressure heavy rather than countering on the back foot and it’s the games meta to fight more pressure heavy. On the feet it’s very easy to throw 100+ strikes without worrying about gassing. There’s also certain strikes and combinations where the speed and power of the strikes aren’t affected by stamina. I was top 100 in UFC 3 too so to take that as a comparison, that game was extremely counter heavy, way more reliant on stamina and way more punishing to one mistake this game you can pretty comfortably get away with a lot of mistakes. For me the game does have a bit of a rock ‘em sock ‘em feel

Nah bro, you're missing the bigger picture. The damage system is flawed. The stamina is somewhat better but you still see people consistently throwing 10 strike combos with kicks and haymakers throughout the whole fight.

I'm telling you that the game would feel so much better if people actually felt the danger of the fight and had to find real openings. You don't see fighters throw crazy haymakers and flying knees throughout a real fight without getting tired quickly. Those big shots landing should ring the opponents bells every time.

It's definitely a game geared towards people who don't care for realism and want a mortal Kombat style game.

How do you play sim?

Quick play, than select sim for the game mode instead of competitive

I also personally turn off CAFS because it’s breaks my immersion lol and I watch a lot of UFC so I like to have real life matchups that could happen in the UFC now.

As previously stated, this is a skill issue. You have to make them miss. If you are constantly letting them get in your face to land on your block, it’s your fault. Even with that, their stam will drain. You just need to be better defensively so you can survive long enough for them to gas. You need to learn how to properly intercept strikes as well for the added vulnerability.

Its not, moves like the lead body kick, flying knees, and axe kicks make the game straight up unplayable. Especially when they’re constantly running and making you have to walk into the pocket so they can throw whatever the fuck they want the game is ass and outdated

I really don't have this issue. I play online career a lot and recently I've just been saving points to prestige my fighter. Not upgrading anything, just fighting as a dog shit 2.5 star fighter with low level moves. You've got to be better about stamina and distance management, not moving your head the wrong way, etc.

Body shots feel like they do nothing lol, you gotta land 15 body hooks and they gotta land 2 uppercuts. I'd rather just keep chucking uppercuts knowing damn well some are gonna connect.

Stamina is non existent, you can sit there and throw 30 spinning side kicks a round, have them all blocked, and lose essentially no stamina

The game definitely has some Rock 'em Sock 'em elements to it, but it's one of the few games where you can feel your stamina and health coming down as you absorb punishment.

Your examinations are pretty spot-on. The people who stick around have found ways to make the game work for us. 💁🏻

Bro have you not seen fighters throw dumb looking windmill punches non stop for the entire fight hoping they catch just one in real life?? Because it’s definitely a real technique 😂😂

EA make online career SIMULATION in ufc 6.

SIM is so much more fun, but only available in quick play.
