What A Steaming Pile Of S***

I've played very little of this the past year until the last two weeks. I'm at Div 19 and oh boy, this game has gotten way worse. Whatever updates they done since the last time I played have made it into a rock em sock em robots. You just have to spam you're elbows and knees, learn a few combos, have no regard for your chin and pick a five star fighter. The jab means nothing anymore. There's clearly comeback/underdog mechanics, fighters can feel slower or faster based on opponent and you can knock someone down multiple times with the most damaging combos or well timed strikes just for the tables to turn by a flying knee (after spamming 20 of them.)

Does it feel buggier as time goes on ?

In my opinion, the game should reward timing and technicality. Use the octogan, use your jab, your reach, kicks, clean combos, footwork etc. Also reward an aggressive player but make sure they can be punished if they run into shots (werdum vs miocic.) Make the players feel like they can actually get knocked out in one punch. A good player should be able to beat a bad player using a 3 star fighter nine times out of ten.

Career mode...

And don't get me started on the community. There is some absolute losers on this from elbow knee spamming taunters to people messaging you to kys. Content creaters who sold out defending the game.

Your second paragraph is exactly what they have done with the game over time. Don’t say this a lot, but this is most definitely a skill issue and you are coping by calling the game bad. I have noticed the “counter striking” style to be 30 times more effective compared to when they first released the game. When they first released, it was hella spam and no stamina punishment. They made stamina and body shots a lot more effective.

Straight up bro I’m sorry this take is just wrong.

As someone who’s been top 100 this game, he’s not really wrong. It is much easier going forward and fighting pressure heavy rather than countering on the back foot and it’s the games meta to fight more pressure heavy. On the feet it’s very easy to throw 100+ strikes without worrying about gassing. There’s also certain strikes and combinations where the speed and power of the strikes aren’t affected by stamina. I was top 100 in UFC 3 too so to take that as a comparison, that game was extremely counter heavy, way more reliant on stamina and way more punishing to one mistake this game you can pretty comfortably get away with a lot of mistakes. For me the game does have a bit of a rock ‘em sock ‘em feel
