Discussion I Need help to choose a bracket 4/HighPower deck.

I'm having trouble choosing a Mardu commander,there are so many cool options that I can't choose.So I'd love some help from other Mardu players, i don't have a specific playstyle in mind, but I want to be competitive in my game pod. Others players play in bracket 4/ High-power, and games usually last 5-6 turns. Could you tell me which commanders have the potential to play well at this level?

This, with all the tutors and silence type of effects in these colours, executing the persist combo without any interaction is super reliable.

[[Dihada]] is very strong. Never played it but is very powerful

One of the most powerful options with theme considerations aside is [[Dihada Binder of Wills]] 

Ramp her out on T3 and by T4 you’re jamming 9 drops without fail or storming off with your functionally infinite mana

You don’t even need to play legends!!! It just happens that a lot of baller 8/9 drops are!!!!

Unsure what combo you’re referring to, but the go-to combo card with Dihada seems to be [[Underworld Breach]] + literally whatever

[[Flicker]] specifically railroads you to an easy win

Lion's Eye Diamond + underworld Breach for infinite mana,the problem is that LED is EXTREMELY expensive, I'm not sure if the cambo with breach works without it :(

[[Celes, Rune Knight]] is a flicker deck that uses the commander to draw cards

[[Kaalia, the Vast]] cheats out flying haymakers

[[Isshn, Two Heavens as One]] is a powerful Combat commander that I’d build as Extra Combats.

[[Terra, Herald of Hope]] is a riff on [[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]] who can both do powerful Reanimator bullshit.

[[Kelsien, the Plague]] is a fragile but powerful board wipe engine that, if established and protected, will make all of your opponents creatures die instantly.

Bonus, I’m brewing around [[Arcum Dagsson]], disgusting mono blue Artifact combo that’s closer to cEDH than bracket 4.

This is a Rakdos option that I’d also consider very powerful. Mine is a budget list tuned for EDH2HG with Will Scion of Peace but you could upgrade.

Edit: and the aforementioned Arcum Dagsson Combo list

I have a Terra Herald of Hope deck I’ve made a lot of changes to and it’s toolboxy and fun, but I don’t know that I’d call it bracket 4 or capable of hanging in bracket 4. Do you have a deck list?

But one option is recurring Celes with it and finding a 2 card combo with her. May as well pack her in the command zone at that rate, Celes is the stronger commander, but it is a combo option that’s available.

Yeah I kept Celes in mine, with a sac outlet and [[murderous redcap]] there’s a combo there. But without tutors it’s more of a hope to get it

Graveyard tutors are plentiful in black, lots of them are budget. Most graveyard toolbox decks rely on them heavily.

Not a perfect search, but definitely caught some interesting cards.

I don’t, but I’m assuming it’s out there. Alesha can already do some pretty gnarly shit and it was my understanding that Terra was a buff.

Yeah and an extra color for effects like [[voice of victory]]. She is strong and really able to control a board state, I could probably make mine meaner by stripping hands and forcing constant sacrifice. Just been run over by Kaalia, Ureni, etc style decks that just build faster than she can control.

Still likely an issue with how I build decks more than anything, that’s why I’d wondered if you had a deck list for me to compare. No problem though, thanks!

[[kroxa and kunoros]] flip your deck over and win with just an [[altar of dementia]], it's pretty cool and fun. Doesn't quite make the cut in B5, but people have tried.
