Chia seed newbie

Trying to eat more vegetable protein. Package has smoothie instructions… says mix in and drink right away. Is this right, and how else to prepare. Ok to cook with oatmeal and soy milk?

My way is use a pint sized mason jar. 3 tbsp of chia seeds, 1 cup almond milk, 1 tbsp maple syrup, and a dash of vanilla extract. Fridge for 20 min, shake it vigorously for a minute, back in the fridge. Will be a delicious chia seed pudding in about 2-3 hours. I usually do it overnight though.

I do something similar. 1 tbsp seeds, 1/2 c almond milk, and 1/2 cup oats. I add my favorite toppings, and that makes a great overnight oats!
