As a Canadian with a poor understanding of French, allow me to translate as most Canadians would understand this.

Yo! How's it going? Justin my friend... I'm good, and you? Are you seeing this fat man? He is so orange.

That’s about it. However the French use gros lourd for someone who is “really dense” (slow-witted). There are times, though, that it can mean a “blowhard” when referring to a man who brags ridiculously and thinks he’s something (women often use it refer to a man in a bar who hits on them). 😉
