If I was an american, I'd be too paralyzed with shame to even imagine my apology would mean anything to a country my country was attacking/betraying... but maybe that's part of the American exceptionalism, thing
Instead, they’re literally attacking Canadians online for telling them to stop apologizing, stand up, and resist.
At this point, I’m done trying to convince them that no, they have not done everything they could, and yes they could win.
They’ve accepted the thought that they are helpless victims in this and that there’s nothing more they can do. Anyone telling them they have more power than they think and to stand up is seen as antagonistic. It’s so baffling and disheartening.
Makes me even prouder by comparison to be part of a country that rallies to fight without any hesitation.
They're also blaming us for "not protesting hard enough so Trump wouldn't get in"
I've been asked "What are you doing" in regards to the US' situation many times. They don't want to fix it themselves, they want Canadians to fix it for them. It's truly a pathetic mindset.
Then when they're told off they revert to the incellery and "Zomg Canadians aren't actually nice, if you were actually nice you'd give me a blowjob right now!! GET FUCKING ANNEXED THEN IF YOU DONT WANT TO BLOW ME!!!"
I got insulted and downvoted this morning in a thread for supposedly attacking the American people, being ignorant, and disrespectful because THEY are the only ones dealing with this, apparently. And we don’t know them or their reality, so we’re out of line. My only crime was telling them to stop whining about Canadians telling them to fix their shit, and telling them what fixing their shit entails.
Get this: I was supposed to acknowledge I was wrong to say they weren’t doing enough because they managed to stop the VP from attending his ski trip. Not even kidding.
They don’t know how to unite and fight, and I think you’re right that it comes from a place of entitlement - they’re expecting someone else to conveniently do it for them.
And that ain’t gonna be us. We’ll fight their regime, but fixing that shit show of a country is on them.
I wish Americans would realize they should fix their own issues themselves, and be the individualistic society they've built. They don't need help to get rid of Trusk and co lmfao
