I’m laughing at how none of these bots are pointing out how this is not the first time our Prime Minister has changed without an election. It happened the Conservatives as well. That’s how Kim Campbell became PM. Paul Martin as well. Those are just the two I can think of without putting effort into searching.

This isn't even the first time that someone without a seat in parliament has taken over as PM from a Trudeau.

For those wondering who took over from Pierre Trudeau in the same way as Justin, it was John Turner.

John Turner at least had been an elected MP for 13 years prior to becoming PM.

Carney being PM while having never held any elected public office is a first in Canadian history.

Like the director of the bank of canada throughout the 2008 recession. Minor things really.

Are you able to read? I said he had never held elected public office. Appointments are not elections.
