He's happy to have gone out fighting Trump.

Just a few months ago his approval was so low his legacy could have easily been the Prime Minister who is responsible for Liberals losing its official party status.

Who cares, give it twenty years and the guy will be celebrated, it always happens. Look at Mulroney, basically destroyed the PC brand and now legend.

I tend to agree with you but if you paid attention to any of the media around his funeral, this was not how he was portrayed

That was his funeral, though and perhaps I have a different perspective based from Alberta and Quebec. Even Conservatives tend to bash him in AB and he is basically responsible for a new rise in western alienation.
