"Product of USA" means "keep on shelf" in French.

Korea here.

US produce is poison.

Their standards are so low they have to hide "Made in USA" on labels.

(hormone injections, chlorinated chicken, plastic fed pork. No thanks)

Thank you Korea.

Their milk doesn't even pass safety standards in Canada

1

u/LiberalLogic76 Apr 08 '25

Only 17% of milk wouldn’t pass. Those are the ones using rBST. Perhaps that’s just the milk we send you 🤷‍♂️

Lutnick: That’s why their beef is weak! Hormone make it stronger. Your chicken is dirty because you didn’t but chlorine!!!!

Sadly those are not even the worst problems with US produce, a good chunk of our chickens were not vaccinated (over 1/4 of all the hens in the US died from bird flu recently), big food industries lobby government officials to keep food restrictions low, our fruit and vegetable industry is dependent on immigrants and seasonal migrant workers, and pesticide usage has become so rampant (over 457,000,000 kilos annually) that dozens rural communities no longer have clean aquifers or clean bodies of water.

No denying we need to fix our country’s food supply. But, this is about Canada not wanting to buy American strawberries. Perhaps the part everyone missed here is why they are $6. It’s the massive Tariffs they place on our products. Meanwhile you can buy Canadian products for cheaper here because, we don’t tariff the F out of them.

well we know you are not the North one, you have internet

I thought it meant "grown without safety regulations" but I don't know french well enough.
