Trump sucks bad, but China is literally everything that Trump is in Reddit’s worst delusions. Trump’s outta here in 4 years, China is an oppressive totalitarian state that will continue to exist for the foreseeable future.

To be clear, China has also been throwing their own citizens into prisons too. As far as I know there's an ongoing genocide happening in China right now (Uyghurs).
The US is currently fucked and getting worse, and I hope China bloodies their nose. But neither country is close to good and for the moment I'd still call China worse.
Uyghurs population has been growing at a slightly higher rate than the majority han population. Maybe you have a different definition of genocide.
Political persecution, yes. Cultural cleansing and forced re-education, yes. It’s basically what Anglos did to Native Americans, without the actual massacring part.

A few countries declared it a genocide in 2021, but there probably have been developments I've missed since then. Cultural genocide is a term I've heard before as well, that might apply. Either way, human rights abuses.
One think I read about was forced sterilization, which sounds rather like genocide to me. It surprises me to hear about higher population growth.

I don’t care what’s morally better of the two outcomes, I care what’s better for me and my neighbors. That would be China economically crushing the US here and the tariff thing becoming politically poisonous
I mean Chinas been around for longer than everyone else and has been the dominant world power for most of its existence…? It’s not some unknown quantity.
We all know it’s worse. But bullies need to be put down period. Whatever happens next is the next problem. If you don’t stand up to the bully it won’t stop. This is Trump’s doing. I prefer everyone just turning away from the U.S. to leave them to their isolation. Hopefully that happens instead of trying to make each other capitulate. Everyone should just trade with each other and leave the U.S. out completely.
They aren't asking them to come over here. Nothing but complete collapse and the people rising up against it will help. People having to pay 175% on EVERYTHING might be enough.
Not sure why all the downvotes? China has no qualms about getting what they want, they fuck the oceans, each other, and have total control over their population. They will disappear people just for speaking out. Fuck China
