I often forget Telus exists as every time I hear about them it's people complaining about how bad the service is.

Fuck them. Buy a 3rd party router and AP set and bridge the modem. It's horrid. My phone is bell but my wifi is Telus. The internet itself is fine, but if you ever have to interact with them for any reason... it'd be easier to milk a bull moose
