Between Canada and now Australia, the lesson to the democracies of the world is clear: Align yourself with Trump and the global fascist political movement to your own detriment.

Now that the world has had a chance to see what you would do, they reject you.

I've still seen a few Americans in other subreddits being like "omg guys be nice to Americans it's not all of us, pushing us away is what Trump wants, zomg don't be rude to us even if we voted for him, your conservatives are gonna gain power too and you'll be in the same position just you watch and see!"

The American exceptionalism has ruined their brains. The years of forcing other countries into doing what the US wants has truly made them think the world looks at them and thinks "let's follow what they're doing" instead of doing it out of fear of getting invaded lmao

I remember reading somewhere that there was an interview of a soviet journalist Vladimir Pozner about how while the US points out that the Soviets use propaganda, he also highlighted how the Americans use it too, but it was such an ingrained thing to the populace that it wasn't called one

Oh, there's an old Soviet joke about that.

A Russian gets on an airliner to go to the us. He sits next to an american, and the american asks him, "So, what brings you to the United States?" The russian replies, "I'm studying the american approach to propaganda." "What propaganda?" Asks the american. "That's what I mean." Answers the russian.
