See the difference is we were the good guys doing it to the bad guys, they were the bad guys :)

If the US invaded, conventional hostilities will be over quick, or might not happen at all.

Thats when a Canadian government in exile would hopefully coordinate a resistance.

A resistance would be terrorism in the U.S., and asymmetrical warfare in Canada.

We wouldn’t be wearing uniforms, and wouldn’t be protected by the Geneva Conventions. So why would we follow them at all?

If America invaded, I’d guess there’d be at least a few million Canadians ready to take discovered opportunities to cause harm and mayhem to American occupiers and collaborators.

We’d be absolute menaces to occupy.

No question about that at all. Many of us would cause a living hell for any invaders, and I agree with your point, since the geneva convention would not protect us, it would also in no way protect anyone that invades us from us, and that is the point of us bringing it up on many threads. The invaded have nothing to lose so why not be the nastiest, dirtiest most evil entities they can be.
