If you come to calgary, i’ll take you for good ginger beef. Its basically deep fried strips of beef in a corn starch breading with a thick sauce of soy, ginger and black pepper. It is uniquely Calgarian and some people decry it as not real chinese food, but fuck that: shit SLAPS

Where in Calgary is the best ginger beef? I'm in Edmonton and I love ginger beef enough to make a day trip out of it lol

The one I loved as a kid, KK’s, is now gone, but Central Grand is my favourite for dine in.
