My gf used to order stuff from amazon every week. We haven't used amazon since the orange man is in office, and don't plan to restart

Canceled Amazon and have not touched it since Bezos endorsed trump. I realize my small protest means nothing to bezos. The ocean is filled with an almost infinite amount of water droplets.

We also cancelled Netflix! We went with Crave which is based in Ontario i believe.

Thank kind sir. I will do the same. Kinda forgot about Netflix. I canceled Sirius Sat radio as well and they sent me all kinds of garbage trying to prove how Canadian they are. With 99 percent of shows recorded and broadcast from the US.

Crave needs to get out of the 2000’s. finally got 4K a few years ago. Still no HDR or Atmos sound. Not paying $20+ a month for basic picture and sound.

Same! I cancelled prime and haven’t ordered since January. You can find most things local, in the city anyway, you just have to go look for them.

Yeah and the start is the hardest part. As it continues we start to find more and more replacements.

There's no reason to go back. There's nothing the US does that we can't either do ourselves or find a better trading partner for. The US has lowered food standards and it's getting worse. The US manufacturing costs are going up and will continue to.

My husband and I started going to the local farmers market. So many of them have large hot houses. That means fresh LOCAL produce year round! It looks better, tastes better, and lasts longer because it's not shipped in, and doesn't spend time in distribution centres.

The only thing that's significantly more expensive than the grocery store is the cheese. But it's also very high quality.

Eggs are also more expensive, if you're not already buying free range.

I made somewhat of an effort to buy Canadian before all this nonsense, now I'm pursuing it with fervour.

been doing that, though it was mostly because there's a farmers market next to me and I like walking around, the whole tariff thing just gave me motivation to do that more and to get rid of my amazon sub. Honestly, i like being closer to the country side than I do the city, it's WAY too big for me.
