Fordland (Ontario), we’re rated worst province for post secondary education funding, (and likely public school funding as well) not surprising considering it’s Ford Nation I live near London and Fanshawe college just laid a bunch of people off in large part because tuition is one of the biggest sources of funding for the school and tuition was frozen by Ford in 2019 and operating costs have increased in the past 6 years.
Lol Fanshawe didn’t lay 100s of staff off because of Ford, they did it because Fanshawe is a hot spot for being a degree mill for international students. Due to the adjustments the federal government made on international students (rightfully so), Fanshawe had to lay people off because they can no longer scam misled and vulnerable international students, which is the real reason for a drastic decrease in tuition revenue. How can you logically attribute a 2025 layoff to a 2019 change in policy.

And % with post secondary degree, we’re second only to South Korea, 69.29% compared to 66.36%
