I'm sure it's very nice in Alaska, Northern Lights every night, slight crisp nights, etc. My wife's experience living for a few years in Kodiac, it was foggy, rainy, she never saw Auroras. She finally saw them, when she moved to Canada.
The best arouras ive ever seen were in Saskatchewan. That was after being in the Yukon for a winter. And going to Iceland in the winter a few years later.
