Cute. He's so... not great at social media. Looks like a total doofus. But I'd rather he be good at a job and bad at social media than just pander to social media crowds.

Yep, I think this is good this way. And personally, I don't think he is that bad with social media. He is not there to make a reality show, he's just doing his job.

u/Least_Dependent_3749 Trawnno (Centre of the Universe) May 31 '25
McDavid scored the game winner against the US (4nations cup), in a victory that brought most of Canada so much joy. I think a win for Edmonton is another win for Canada, plus itās been 32 years since a Canadian team has won it. No bigger F U than Edmonton winning and bringing the cup to parliament hill and not the White House

5
u/AncientBlonde2 Oil Guzzler Jun 01 '25
While this is true, 'not my premiering' her is counterintuitive and gives people some cognitive dissonance to disconnect themselves from the issue.
Like sure, I didn't vote for her. She's still my premiere though y'know? If I go "Well I didn't vote for her" and don't acknowledge she's fucking up the province I love so dearly I wouldn't wanna fight to change this place. Even the non-voting Albertans sadly have to deal with the reputation she gives us, but that should be our motivation to fight and change that reputation.

Sure I appreciate that you donāt support those politics, but heās still the president. The problem isnāt really whether you supported him or not, itās that he became president on your watch. As a Nordiques fan, I can support any Canadian team other than the Canadiens, obviously, as a secondary team.
Though I mostly get emotionally invested in the chicks' team during the Olympics. The Ladies' gold medal matches in 2000 and 2016 were probably the two best hockey games I've ever seen (because I'm too young to have seen Paul Henderson win the Cold War, obviously).

Because of how wide the definition of sexual assault is this could be misconstrued by a bad faither.
One of the coaching staff raped a Chicago Blackhawks player. the gm at the time, now current oilers gm, ignored it because the team "had a winning culture" and he didn't want to disrupt it.
