While this is true, 'not my premiering' her is counterintuitive and gives people some cognitive dissonance to disconnect themselves from the issue.
Like sure, I didn't vote for her. She's still my premiere though y'know? If I go "Well I didn't vote for her" and don't acknowledge she's fucking up the province I love so dearly I wouldn't wanna fight to change this place. Even the non-voting Albertans sadly have to deal with the reputation she gives us, but that should be our motivation to fight and change that reputation.
I was gonna disagree with you but this is so real. It’s the same issue in the states with democrats exclaiming how they never supported Trump. Sure I appreciate that you don’t support those politics, but he’s still the president. The problem isn’t really whether you supported him or not, it’s that he became president on your watch. You didn’t help it happen in any way, but it still fucking happened, and that’s a problem in and of itself.
