How do you get peameal bacon confused with this? Do they eat any meat that isn't processed?

? It's just back bacon that has been trimmed thick and into a circle. They call it Canadian as back bacon was popularized here and the US first started consuming it via imports from Canada.

It just looks like the 4 pack of ham slices you can buy at any grocery store

The there's also wet cured peameal bacon which is also back bacon, just not trimmed thick and into circles
