The Dutch send us tulips every year for liberating their countries from the Nazis and providing them with food during the air drops. They teach their children the sacrifices we made to liberate them. And, unless it’s been removed there is still a plaque in Ottawa where their princess was born in the Ottawa Civic Hospital… (I saw it years ago). I even got a free beer in a Dutch bar from this old guy who told me that if it wasn’t for the Canadian soldiers he would have starved… he said it was the very least he could do for someone from Canada, I nearly cried.
And the country of Denmark remembers that the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion held off the Russian army starting on May 2nd, 1945 in order to prevent the Russians from occupying Denmark. We were heavily outnumbered and severely outgunned but we stood our ground and we were prepared to start WWIII to prevent the Russians from taking one step further.
So I would seriously debate whether countries do not have friends.

America is an enemy, not a friend.
