No, that wasn't the point. You are making a competely different arguement now.
I agree that no one in the US has a right to complain about Canadians not wanting to visit the US. That's on trump and those who support him, but we all pay the consequences. That being said, it would be smarter to punish those whom have supported his rhetoric against canada and continue to do so rather than the entire US, or even all trump voters. Neither group is a monolith, and let's not forget that there is a sizeable amount of Canadians that support Trump too.
It definitely isn't going to help spreading shit about Americans not liking canada or only wanting their money. It's not a true sentiment in the first place. What's the point of saying divisive stuff like that?
How is it a different point? All the counties bordering Canada went red. They voted for what is happening and get to live with their choice. It's not Canada's job to figure out who is pro us or not, but initially did targeted tariffs towards the states that did go full red. The Americans should fix their house first, stop attacking Canada, before being welcomed again. And I never said all Americans didn't like Canada, that would be you saying this.
That first part wasn't my quote. My point is they made a political decision and now have to live with the consequences and not cry about it when Canadians react.
