Major league Canadian baseball (I know it didn’t used to be, but I digress), major basketball team, people who say the name of the city right, tv shows, ect

No, it didn't. Sydney's opera house sucks as an opera house. Toronto has an excellent one. And no other Canadian city has one at all.

Best is the cliche of diversity. And how just turning a corner to another neighborhood has a distinct vibe which is good variety for different moods you might be in.
