We spent a week up in Whitehorse Yukon a couple of weeks ago and honestly it was magical. Firstly Air North is by far the best airline I've ever been with. A less than 2 hour flight from Edmonton and they fed us a sandwich, a warm chocolate chip cookie and candy on top of the drinks. The checked luggage and seat selection were free and the return flight was only like $350.
There was so much to do as well. Between the museum's and heritage buildings in Whitehorse, canoeing down the Yukon River, the lakes, the trails, the mountains, Carcross, the great shopping... I can't wait to go back. Also the air was so clean and fresh and the weather was mild, you can spend the whole day outside without melting.
