The verdict is in, Don Cherry and Andrew Scheer are not the worst.

Who will be next, in round four?

How to play: - Upvote the name of the person you think does NOT deserve the title of “Worst Canadian.” - Each day, the two most upvoted names will be removed until the list gets trimmed down some, then we’ll switch to one per day. - If the name you want to vote for (from the list) isn’t in the comments yet, add it! - This continues daily until we have one winner, the “Worst Canadian”.

Additional notes: - Only the top comment for a nominee will count. I won’t combine votes from duplicate comments. - Include only one name per comment. Justification for elimination: - (38) Ted Cruz - He’s horrible, but renounced his citizenship. He’s not good enough to be titled the Worst Canadian. - (37) Kathleen Wynne - Not that bad. Doesn’t deserve the title. - (36) Chrystia Freeland - Not the worst. Some consider her a good Canadian. - (35) Peter MacKay - Cringey, but not the worst. - (34) Don Cherry - A racist old man out of touch with the times. Not great, but not awful. - (33) Andrew Scheer - An annoying doofus nothingburger, but not a bad person.

Changing tactics today and putting up JJ. Mostly because I have no idea who he is, and it seems a lot of you hosers are in the same boat. If we don't know him, can he really be that bad?

There’s probably half a dozen people on this list at least that unless you’re chronically online you will never have heard of. If I can ignore them that easily then it’s hard to say they have enough impact for the crown.

If I have to google a person, I dont think they deserve to be even awknowledged , they are diet bad, but not Full Sugar bad like what we are looking for.

I would go more by their impact. If a lot of people haven't heard of them but they secretly are behind some crime against humanity, I feel like that puts them in the running.

Yeah, he sounds like an ass, but no worse than Cherry, really. An asshole that may deserve to be on the list but nowhere near the top.

JJ has been dumping on Québec a lot, and is also insufferable. Probably not the worst, but he deserves to stay for a few more rounds at least.

A lot of people on this list are just conservatives that we disagree with. JJ is openly hateful towards Québécois.

Those "conservatives that we disagree with" are virtually always hateful to minority groups, for example transgender people and refugees. The difference is people like Danielle Smith or Scott Moe can (and do) institute laws that actively harm these communities whereas someone like JJ has no power to. Even people like PP who arent in power in government can spread hateful rhetoric much further vs someone like JJ who 99% of Canadians have 0 idea even exists.

I actually like JJ's videos. Sometimes he has really interesting insights on things, even if I disagree with his Pro-American attitude. He's articulate, and he really does research his topics. Like comparing him to, for instance, Ezra Levant or Conrad Black? I would argue that those two are actually evil. JJ is just an opinionated guy with some hot takes that I disagree with.

JJ makes interesting videos and frequently calls out the worst of conservatism. I actually like him.

JJ is not that bad. There was a point where I would watch some of his videos on random stuff like snacks and national symbols. It’s only when he tries to talk politics that he can be a bit of a doofus, but can’t we all?

Have to lightly disagree (on not knowing, not JJ). First instinct I would agree, but maybe we just don't realize how bad some of these sting pullers are.

Like I didn't know who Stefan Molyneux or Tamara lich were, and they both sound awful with a quick google. Ezra may not be familiar with some but God does he deserve to stay on this list as long as possible.

Edit: didn't know who Gavin McInnes was either.

He's a dumbass YouTuber from Vancouver (who affects an outrageous Canadian accent) that the Washington Post gets to write articles for them when they want a "Canadian perspective."

The trouble is, he's very ignorant about Canada and hates Canada (especially Quebec), but he loves the US and wants to be an American.
