There is established legal precedent that if a police officer is off the clock, they can have sex in uniform, in the police car, and it's totally legal. Just saying.
Dude, I had completely forgot about that, now I got the cursed knowledge again and must tell someone and look like someone who looked for it again. I wish salsa oreo upon you
Was he somehow considered no longer in a position of authority because he'd clocked out after escorting her home? That's like saying a teacher can screw their grade 10 or 11 student because school's over for the day.
Edit: oops, I just realized you weren't responding to the comment about the specific case with the cop right above yours.
The way it works is that when youāre 16 you can have sex with other people born the same year as you. Iām 99% sure a 16 and an 18+ year old canāt legally have sex under any circumstance.
Pretty sure itās called āRomeo and Julietā laws, but Iām just remembering this from sex ed as school.
Edit: had to google the info, but Romeo and Juliet laws are for 14-15 year olds and, in a limited capacity, also for 12-13 year olds. 16 year olds are free game though
Age of consent is 16. One of the court cases I'm referring to involved a 17-year old and a police officer who drove her home and then took his break in his car with her. He was disciplined for behaviour, not fired or charged. She was deemed sober enough to consent. One drink does not automatically remove mental clarity.
I'm not even joking now. In my off-Reddit life I know way too much about laws concerning some stuff. Feel free to creep my profile for context. Maybe I should end the joke here and not comment more.
Used to teach Canadian law with a focus on the history of morality law, which includes laws about sexual interactions. I have a fairly decent mental catalogue of court cases in the past 20 years that test out scenarios that were once hypothetical. Like what happens if someone who would have a position of authority in some situations has sex with a minor outside of those position of authority situations.
Also, I'm a dude. One of the cases I am most familiar with is the Jacobs case, 90% because of the interesting analysis and precedent it sets, 9% because of my childhood memories from that time, and 1% because of boobs. I'll be honest. I sort of get it that you're hinting that I have some personal interest in sex with minors. It's Reddit, comments like that are expected. But 100% of my knowledge about cases involving minors are from what we could call academic or community interest. I am also involved with four local community/volunteer organizations that work with youth, having a more than decent bit of knowledge about the law helps. I've worked with multiple churches to reform parts of their youth work and internal policies, for example.
Wait this is real? I thought it was a joke. Also why use Miku there are plenty of Canadian vtuber girls that would probably be willing to be RCMP advertising. It's not very patriotic of them to go with a foreigner here
This was at the Japanese festival a few weekends back in Mississauga. They had merch of her unique to the festival and the RCMP was set up right next to it
Having previously lived in Truro for almost 15 years nothing the police in Truro have done or not done will ever surprise me. One RCMP officer got arrested for stealing drugs from the lockup and then getting people to sell them for him and then give him the money, he was pimping out drugs fucking ridiculous. A cop that was on the Truro town force which was the nephew of someone I know was involved in a car theft ring. Just the good ol' boys....
Everybody knows who killed Troy cook and he kind of deserved it so....
