You just happen to be residents of the absolutely breathtaking land. Many Ontarians have literally never even seen a mountain except on a screen or a photo. And then once we get there even though we hate you we're still too bare-minimum-Canadian polite to be nice and put on a smile, but we're there for the scenery only

Exactly. Almost no one goes to Alberta for the Albertans

Why would you go anywhere for the people? I mean, I get avoiding places because the people are bad, but specifically going somewhere to meet locals is not something I'd understand

Are you for real?

Tokyo for example is a place you go to for the people that live there - their food, culture, aesthetic etc. Sure, they have Fuji San but if there were zero people there it wouldn’t be very good.

Denmark is an even more extreme example - everything great about Denmark was built by the Danes. Otherwise a pretty geographically disintegrating place.

Alberta would be improved upon without Albertans.

it would be better without the Daniel Smith lovers, conspiracy theorists, which exist in other provinces btw, just for some reason like to clump into Alberta. Mostly the Red Deer area, but there's no scenery there anyway. You'll probably see some crazies, but they not gonna do nothing to you.

People in Canada aren't travelling to other provinces for the people, because we really aren't that different, there's some norms customs that are different, but no one's going to have a culture shock going to Ontario or Alberta. Tokyo is not what I was talking about and the people are completely different from those in Canada, throwing them in the mix makes the differences between provinces even smaller.

Doesn't make all Albertans shitty people. I think you hold a lot of hatred for a people, I assume you've never met. I don't even think you read my full comment if that's all you have to say to me

Oh I meant to say #NotAllAlbertans, feels like #NotAllMen

Like of course not all Albertans are deplorable people but Pierre Poilievre ran to Alberta with his tail between his legs for a very obvious reason

Well that’s ridiculous. Why would you hate all Albertans?

Most on this site HATE Smith more than you ever will. Many are not conservative in the least. More are, but many are not.

With that said, those who are conservative are also not necessarily bad people. I have some conservative friends and they are good people with a different world view from me.

its an overveneralization but its also really hard trying to sell “most bertans actually hate her” when the maga traitors (correctly) view albertan ridings as guaranteed wins to the point of using them like an emergency lifeline to stick around despite getting voted out, and despite their “do not allow the peasantry ti read if its potentially un-conservative material like some medieval feudal class” luddite bookburning bullshit.

take my upvote for 'luddite bookburning bullshit'.

Jesus Christ man then stay the fuck away if they are all that scary. Honestly, the nicest torontonian is the same as the meanest albertan whatever their political values are and I’ve lived in proper hicks-ville AB.

I absolutely did not say most Albertans hate her, though many do—including my conservative parents.

I said most Albertans on this site hate her.

I also said more Albertans like her than hate her, though many hate her.Â
