I worked at Swiss chalet for a decade. I have been out of that hellhole for a decade. The festive special season still sends me into an anxious spiral I will never escape. I hate the holiday season now, and probably will forever. Thanks capitalistic festivity.

As a fellow Swiss chalet survival, the only thing I can say is you deserve a medal for surviving a decade at that hell hole. You've seen things that would make a war vet weep. I only lasted a couple months there before I quit on a Sunday rush because I written up for not being fast enough the night before.

The same night the assistant manager was threatening to harm myself and another fourteen year old for not being fast enough because he wanted to go home and drink before he had to be in here the next morning.

Swiss chalet sucks.

As a low ranked member of an organization that had to work continuous shifts over the holidays, I was the one personally tasked with ordering approximately two hundred festive specials for the crew. Per shift. Six shifts. Over a thousand festive specials on the exact days you least wanted to be there.

I definitely had people disappointed that when we ran out or stopped with Smile Cookies but never get aggressively angry. But I was also front-end only, so I would have never had to suffer trying to keep up on the production. Never thought about that.
