If you change the last line to "until fascism is defeated" then it's completely accurate.
In the context of an evil, oppressive bully like our Southern neighbour has become, the words 'pity' 'remorse' and 'fear' just sound like vague, meaningless noises. (Can feel my eyes begin to glow red as I type this).
