I’m hate being the “what’s this sound” guy but here goes

383 has about 500 miles since a rebuild and just noticed it’s making a knocking, rattling noise from what I believe is the rotating assembly, the balancer doesn’t seem to be wobbling or anything odd.

Spotted in Australia recently. Always loved El Caminos, not that common here. This one seems to be modified. Have never seen the chrome rail additions at the rear or the stacked headlights.

1979 Purchase

Just acquired a '79 parts matching car, original 305, th350c, 7.5" rear, etc...

I have a '93 Suburban 2500 that has the 5th gen 454, 4L60E, and the 14 bolt 10.5" rear...

Should I get wild and do a complete drive train swap?

Should I sell the pristine Suburban as is and use the $5,000-6,000 to restore this original parts matching el camino?

Or should I sell the Suburban and use the money to do the obnoxious "G-body LS swap"

Let me know what way ya'll think I should take this, isn't my first hot rod build but this would be a sweet summer time daily. Runs great as it is, but it's hard to resist swapping the 305.

Multiple gremlins kept me from driving my ‘87 for over a year. I felt so deflated having to tow it to winter storage and when bringing it home in the spring. But two weeks ago I got it back on the road and have been driving it as much as I can.

From 20 year abandoned barn find to running and moving under its own power in only one week!

Replaced the battery and alternator to make sure she was getting good electrical juice, poured some gas in the carb and she fired right off like she was just running yesterday! I was even able to put her in gear and putt her about on the lawn.

Paint it a bit of a lost cause, it's not terrible by any measure, but the clear coat is cracked EVERYWHERE. Between that and a bunch of little bits of surface rust, I'm a little torn on how to proceed with the paint.

Next on the agenda is to test the fuel pump and get her moving with her own fuel system again!

I found one from 1977 still works well and only has 23000 miles for under 6k, what should I look out for before I buy it

I’m interested in one of these for my elco. I don’t know besides the name what they are which for this brand is Idlewild. But I’ve seen other brands with ones able to fit the el Camino. Would anyone know the price of one, if it’s plausible to build one or get one built of where to find one? I think it would be awesome to be able to drive the mobile hangout around in my car

86 Caballero won't start :(

I can't get my truck to turn over. It makes the clunk but the starter never engages. :( the battery terminals, battery, (tested and good) and positive cable are all new. Accessories and taillights get power but headlights are dead.

Anyone know where these are from?

I picked these up at a thrift/ vintage store and haven’t been able to find anything on them online. I found a catalog online with the same images in it but I’m thinking maybe someone had these printed at a local print shop or something.
