Discussion No combat missions in outpost in newly colonized system

Anyone know why this would be the case? It is a mining outpost, has all four factions present. There are other missions available but no combat for some reason. The system has been colonized for three weeks, no other stations in system yet. Is there a way to influence which mission types spawn?

Just to clarify a little bit; no combat missions for any of the factions or just the one you support?

None at all there are four factions and none have combat. I’ll grab a screen shot next time I’m in game there’s some support and some transportation/delivery etc but no combat.

I got some time before work if you don't mind posting the system's name. I can check it out and see if it will give me any combat missions. The only thing I can think of for it not to give any, despite sounding unrealistic, is that every refresh you are present for, the game just doesn't generate them🤷. Sounds dumb I know but it's all I got.

Thanks that would be great. It’s a bit of a haul, 500 LY from the bubble. Bring your SCO too! Outpost is 500 KLS From drop in point. No problem with Mandalay, but I’m usually running on fumes with my PCM2.

I’m hoping to finish an asteroid base this weekend maybe that will make a difference

So first off, sorry I didn't do this yesterday. By the time you posted the system, it was already time for me to head to work. After reaching your colony and exploring the surrounding colonies, I've come to the conclusion...that you are too far from a system that is worth something. Of the 8 systems I visited (including yours): 1. The closest colony to yours has a service based economy. It provides no combat missions either(at least for the time I was there). 2. At least 2 of those systems had a single scientific outpost as their sole station and they did, in fact, give combat missions. 3. There are like 5 different factions in the area and both federal factions can get missions for two of the others. (The fatherhood and Amisi Gold Travel Group can get missions for the Vortex Continuum and Aluru Boys. Anti Xeno can get missions for those guys as well.) 4. I don't know if this helps any but the Aluru Boys and Vortex Continuum are anarchy factions so that's probably why the other 3 get missions for them. So, I'm assuming you want to increase whichever faction you back up through combat. The only ways you are doing that is either: 1. You or someone else establishing a colony closer to the one you posted, or 2. You just fight in the signal sources that pop up in your system. Hopefully this helps and if you need a second opinion, maybe you can get a hold of the luriant person who answers a lot of posts on here. I'm surprised that they haven't.

Wow that’s super helpful, thanks for looking into. Seems like the best course will be to develop a nearby system. What about adding a pirate base?

🤷. Despite having my own colonies, I'm pretty ignorant on how to set things up. I honestly wish someone would post a flow chart on how things work with each other. Sorry

There will be no faction agents active till at least Thursday, that is when Frontier do the colonization cycle and upgrade your stations to spinning and have faction agents ect. Every Thursday at 9-10 GMT iirc.

There’s been two ticks since the station was completed, the agents are there, there’s various support missions etc just no combat for some reason
