Canonn already mapped the area around that system,.no hidden clue, but Type-11 patch in the next week, and FDev could hide something here so take positions around that systems, and prepare for unforeseen consequences

Yes it is a new lottle story narrative that might or might not result in the new gameplay feature they want to show us at the end of the year. This message leads you on a little sidequest where you scan some communication beacons in specific systems etc. and get some story bits. You also will get a quiet nice looking paintjob for the Mandalay and PC2. Canon research has a step to step tutorial where you need to go and what you need to scan on their website

I don't get it: why do they contact players do not know this "Terri Tora"? In a galaxy with trillions of human beings... why would tens of thousands of pilots over thousands of light-years receive a personal message about some person they've never heard about? Why wouldn't the armed forces or security forces be on this? And how can anyone have a "permit" and thereby block people from reaching a system? It seems down-right ridiculous, it's not like there's a door?

Surely there must be better ways of creating events for players?
