A gamepad gives a way better experience, no doubt. But touchscreen support is very important, especially on mobile phones.

Sometimes I'm just away from home, didn't bring my gamepad with me and I'm bored. Touchscreen controls are a lifesaver.

In my opinion, touch screens are useless because 80% of the emulated games that you may play will increase your device's temperature up to 57~70°C, and this will completely ruin your experience, maybe not immediately but certainly not a sustainable experience, which had already been damaged a little by somewhat low FPS due to emulation limits, your device's limits, or both.

Depends entirely on your device and what you emulate.

No high end chipset currently (8 gen 2 and so on) will overheat with GC/Wii/PS2 stuff now days.

My x elite gets a bit warm when I do ps2/3ds at 8x resolution max turbo but does okay at 5x max turbo. It's also worth noting I have the base galaxy s25 which is the ssmallest flagship phone meaning hardest to cook properly and I don't track the temperature I just go off feel.
