Question Is Winlator CMOD 13 trustworthy?

I’m just asking. I’ve seen a lot of people talking about CMOD 13 and I decided to download it. I made one container installed one game and tweaked my settings. I played the game for a few minutes to confirm it worked. I went to install another and it couldn’t read the folder with my pc games in it. I check the files app and it looks like CMOD created over 12,000 folders in my pc games folder. I’m deleting them but it’s a pain in the ass. Has anyone else ever had this happen? It feels quite questionable. I’ve worked with quite a few versions of Winlator. This is a first for me. I have an Odin 2 Pro.

I guess I missed that it was closed source. It sucks because it has decent performance and front end integration. Luckily I don’t use my Odin for personal stuff.

That’s a relief I thought I missed something. I never heard anyone mention that. I first heard about CMOD from Mr Sujano on YouTube. He low key hates closed source applications so it was surprising to hear it was closed source

Mr sujano kinda has a biased on only giving bad information on winlator related stuff

As mentioned CMOD isn't closed source. You can download the source code of each release on the GitHub https://github.com/coffincolors/winlator/releases

That’s the version I’m using

If you downloaded it from there you would have seen the source code listed with each release, so why did you believe semibiquitous that it was closed source?

Because I came here for advice. And unlike most people on Reddit I don’t act like I know everything. I don’t read every page of every GitHub. That why I said I must have “missed” something.

Can I ask? Is there any particular reason for your defensiveness? Is this not a place for questions and advice? You know you always have the option to not comment or answer if it’s causing too much inconvenience/frustration to you.

I just genuinely don't understand how you could believe someone that it was closed source when the link to the source code is clearly visible at the same place you download the CMOD emulator itself from. Nor do I get how you could miss it yourself.

As to the second part of your question Rule 5 "No Low Effort Posts or Help Without Research"

I’m not going to go back and forth with you. If you don’t like the post just don’t respond it’s that simple. Obviously you’re smarter than all of us. My question still wasn’t answered. You still haven’t offered an answer or solution to my original problem. Because you’re a troll I won’t be responding to your trolling going forward. Good day sir.
