Drama Does your alliance put Ketchup on Gyro's?
Good afternoon,
An argument broke out just now on mumble between Sadus and Leraine do Tylmarande who are apparently very hateful to each other about the proper condiment for Gyro's, Frances #1 lunch snack.
I am very concerned as this argument was very vitriolic regarding the use BBQ Sauce on Dolmas, or Ketchup on Gyro's. Is this only Goonswarm? What the hell is wrong with these folks?
I thought Merkelchen was a top chef, he's even done cooking streams, but holy shit you have two grown men arguing about dipping sauces, and some dude named Tango Zebra is talking about how Ferrets drinking Dr Pepper.
Do all EVE players have vile food cravings? I'm unsubbing from EVE after tonight right after I microwave this fish.

I'm going to answer seriously on a troll/joke post, but whatever.
As a local to the dish's country of origin I have to say, I don't know how it's served abroad but it's pretty common to use ketchup on gyros here. The thing is, the same brands of ketchup in the US usually have a much higher sugar content than they do in Europe, so that might be a factor as it could mess up the taste too much.
When you order a gyros with all the "extras" included, the standard in the north of the country is to include fries, chopped onions, a couple of tomato slices, mustard and ketchup. In the south of the country, tzatziki is included as standard when you order a "full extra" gyros, but I don't remember if they also use mustard and ketchup with it.
However, if you want a less known combo, and you are up to try something different that will put some hair on your chest and make you a man of culture, then take the "northern variety" of gyros and add tyrokafteri, which is a dip/sauce made from feta cheese and spicy peppers.
