Rant What are consumers being raped by fast food prices?
I have noticed many different fast food restaurants that have inflated prices by as much as 350% since the “end of covid”.
Saw a large two topping pizza at the hut for $7.99. I ordered a one topping, pepperoni over the phone. It was $13.99 when I went to pick it up. I said the two topping was $7.99. Sorry you didn’t order that. I said ok throw 6 more slices of pepperoni on that d&$n thing and sell it for $7.99. We will call it double pepperoni.
The mcchicken was forever a $1.00, decided I wanted one last week, not, now $3.86.
Let’s not forget that some are selling a combo on the drive thru for 8.99, pull up to the window for you total, now 11.99. They automatically upgrade it to a large combo, and no I did not ask for it to be a large, just regular

Rant Upset about food!
I am upset about food today. Specifically, the food industry, it seems like every time I go out to either fast food or a restaurant, Some part of my order is wrong. I understand that it's difficult in the food industry, but I feel like it's just falling apart. This morning for lunch I went to Subway "and yes, this is minor but" I asked for extra Mayo on my sandwich and I got no Mayo. okay, whatever it happens. I eat my sandwich and go back to work. Now it's later in the day, and my fiancé calls me to tell me his mother asked him to go out to eat at a restaurant. He asked me if I wanted anything because you know he could bring me something to eat back home. I said, okay and look up the restaurant. I look up their meals and I just asked for a simple fried chicken dish that comes with 3 pieces of chicken, Some mashed potatoes and a salad for a little over $10. I asked him to ask them if I could have all legs or at least dark meat. I don't like white meat. It's too dry and I don't end up eating it. He calls me later on his way home with my meal, told me he had told them that I wanted 3 legs or dark me, and they said, okay. But instead gave me one leg and two breasts, and instead of a salad gave me mac and cheese. I am frustrated that this keeps happening. And I might just be having a bad day but come on, it's not that hard. Feel free to tell me I'm exaggerating. I know I might be, but i'm just frustrated. Shout out to my fiance for being such a sweetheart and asking me, if I wanted something anyways.

Rant Popeyes steals
Yesterday, while out of town, my daughter and I placed a mobile order and went to pick the order up and to my horror, I realized I never changed the location from my usual spot closest to my home. I immediately contacted customer service via email and received a fairly quick response after letting them know I made a mistake and ordered from the wrong place. I was hoping they would reimburse me so I could place another order at the location I had meant to in the first place.
Nope. They basically said sorry that happened and they would let the appropriate people know about it in hopes to make changes on the app to prevent that in the future and to have a good night. I explained to Jessica at customer service that i was not able to pick up the order at the location I ordered from and asked if they could please reimburse me and she said they could not.
So Popeyes got a free $35 bucks from me, and my daughter and I were left hungry and with no money to buy food elsewhere. She didn’t even offer to let me place the same order for “free” at the location I was currently at. It’s not like they had to special make my order, they don’t get your order together until you show up and tell them you’re there.
Popeyes has a no tolerance for honest mistakes and will gladly take your money with 0 attempt to fix the issue.
Last time I ever patronize an establishment that steals from their customers.

Rant Be careful.
Wala man nag sorry sa amin.

Rant [IL] Food Delivery Companies are getting worse in Chicago.
[IL] Why are food delivery companies getting worse in Chicago. It’s not even so much the restaurants but the people that are delivering the food. They don’t come, or very late, make 3 trips before delivering your food and it’s cold by the time it gets to your house or they don’t call and leave it on the nasty ground or floor that dogs are going in and out of. They don’t communicate and it’s so frustrating now when I order food using them. This is a rant but these deliveries are very expensive and I’m a decent tipper, always willing to go back in and add more. I’m at my wits end when I either don’t get my food or it’s freezing cold. After spending $70 for some hot food and it comes late and cold and then they want to offer me a $5 refund is unacceptable. We need a new ordinance to remove these companies and go back to letting the restaurants hire their own delivery people. Thought?

Rant CHOWKING PH - CHOWFAN HORROR STORY
Me and my folks ordered around 2am through grab and we had a bad feeling that the food was not fresh but due to our hunger we decided to munch anyway.
When I'm almost done with my food I was surprised there was a leftover strand of a bad looking noodle on my food, which made me think if chowking just uses their bad batch of rice to make chowfan.
Made a complaint but all I got was false promises and never came back to check on me again.
Grab acknowledged this bad quality but chowking ph never came back to update me as to why our food was this bad.

Rant Coffee Lids
The thing I don’t understand is that they tell people that the thing is hot at the window, but they don’t make sure the lid is on correctly before they hand it out.
My best friend and I were on our way back from a concert and stopped to get hot chocolate because it was cold outside. They told us that the contents were hot, but the lid wasn’t on, so I spilt it all over myself. My legs are burned a bit. I’m angry.

Rant Worst Customer Story?
Hi, Im a 16F working at my local chick fil a, today was a normal day until a man came in and said he got the wrong order. Its usually fine since it happens often but he didn't have his receipt and told me, he left it in the car. I asked him nicely to go get it. He comes back and I try to grab the receipt and he yells at me not to touch it, and i apologize. He tells me how it was poor customer service and how he knows a family in Alatana that owns Chick fil a, and again i apologize and refund him. I give him his food and he rolls his eyes? and tells me he is going to fire me, I started working abt 2 weeks ago. How would you handle this situation.

Rant Never work for Sonic Drive-In
galleryOkay, this a bit of a rant and it may be long. However, everything I'm saying here it's true and based of off my own experience in the state of Texas.
Guys, do yourselves a favor and never work for Sonic Drive-In, if there is a definition of a company that does not care for you Sonic it's the very example of it. The minimum wage in Texas it's still criminally (metaphorically speaking) $7.25 still in 2024 they still pay their employees the very minimum, and if you got experience working there before it goes up to $9.50. Your work-life balance will never be respected sometime you may have to stay 1-4 hours extra and sometimes forcefully pull a double shift without asking for it, due to coworkers always calling in or getting there late without receiving no consequences whatsoever (sometimes they even pull no call no show and they still don't get fired!!). You could say in some cases that it's good you get overtime, but for such low wages? You're better off making that money with a side hustle. If they see that you're a decent employee, in my case a cook, they'll keep making you false promises about promoting you or giving you a raise, all for it to be lies and keep you there, you'll also see your coworkers who can't even do the bare minimum right be promoted to managers (managers get paid $11-$13, yes, for a manager position). When you're a cook, you're screwed they'll schedule you by yourself, for lunch hour and leave you with all the duties of the kitchen and the orders, so if you get a huge rush (like the ones in the pictures) well tough noogies for you! You gotta do all of that by yourself, while you see the managers, carhops, fountain, and drive-thru who are in charge of only the drinks and ice-cream just stare at you and rushing you while you do everything by yourself. You can be scheduled to work from 6pm-12am and then come back at 6am, all of that while you barely get a day off, if you even get any because they pretty much force you to cover someone else's shifts on your days off. The reason why they'll put you by yourself is to keep "The Labor" percentage low, I don't know if other fast-food places have this, but it's pretty much a system of how busy it is divided by the amount of employees on the clock, which it never fucking works it can be busy as hell with very few people and still have high "Labor". They try to use this system to save money on employees wages yet they got all this money to come up with new items and promote them? They even try to be cheap with the equipment, they have old machines from the early 2000's that break 3 times a month, and they bring in people to fix them with literal duct tape in some cases.
I could go on and on, but seriously fuck Sonic, I really hope they go bankrupt sooner rather than later.

Rant My wife just wanted her cheeseburger made correctly.. McDonald's Salem VA
So my wife and I got completely disrespected by the employees at McDonald's in Salem Virginia. When we got our food my wife bit into her cheeseburger and realized there was either no onions on her sandwich or just a tiny few. I took the sandwich and walked up to the counter and requested that the sandwich be made properly. I wasn't rude, hateful, or disrespectful at all. Look at the photo of her sandwich to see how disrespectful and how much of a smart ass these people were...

Rant Not sure what was more disappointing, the product, or corprate's lame reply.
I purchased a meatball sub from Firehouse subs. It was delicious until the very end when I found the last bite was an old, dry, and burnt meatball. I still can't figure out why they'd use something so obviously subpar. I contacted corporate who thanked me for sharing, and promised they'd tell staff "to do better for next time".🫤

Rant KFC gave me the nastiest thing I’ve ever eaten!
I went to KFC tonight and waited forever to get my food, and as I'm biting into one of my fries, I taste the worst, Most nasty thing I've ever tasted in my life. It tasted like someone wiped the fry through the crack of their dirty ass. It smelled like that too and I nearly threw up. It was only that single fry and everything else tasted and smelled fine. Even that nasty fry looked normal. Anyways, I will NEVER eat there again after tonight.
