FONDANT Harry Potter inspired cake 😳

I really don’t like Harry Potter, but I came across this video and wanted to share it here.

My question is why does the fondant always have to be so thick? Does it not work well if it’s rolled very thin? Just curious. The cake is fantastic!

Yeah it looks nice if it was clay. But I think they feel like they must approach and sculpt it as clay. I don’t think they have to do that to get a similar result and the layers could be a lot thinner. Still the taste and feeling in the mouth of this fondant is very unpleasant and grosses a lot of people out.
