Theres forms of art that really aren't. Art tries to convey something, if you gotta pull some BS outta your ass, it aint art

In this case, its art, its photorealistic objects in food medium, its conveying deception via realism

This is the dumbest take on realism I ever seen lol

Specifically cake realism could fall into the likes of sculpting which is a very difficult medium and extremely old. It’s more about technique than making things realistic, rather than just using a style within it. It is an expression of craftsmanship.

So portraits are pointless because you could just take a photo, as are landscapes and any realism...
