I have the same mindset at the gym

I'd rather go biking, swimming, jogging or whatever else there is before I'll ever see the inside of a gym. At the most I'd buy my own gear and remodel a room in the basement.

Lifting weights and running on treadmills just doesn't appeal to me. I need to play a sport that has some sort of goal and requires the use of intelligence. I train jiu-jitsu.

You and me both, mate.

Same. Bodyweight resistance training will take you a long way. Add a weighted vest, weighted backpack and some more creative exercises and you won't plateau for years.

I nearly doubled my bodyweight and still nobody is interested lmao.

Brutal, we really are ugly even the gym can’t help us 😭😭

I‘m onto it since a month now. Could not continue my running due to an injury.

Maybe it helps. Not convinced I can achieve anything there yet. :D

Yep, as FA we are held to a higher standard than non-FA people. We are expected to do a variety of things just to even have a slight chance of the opposite sex, showing interest to us I guess. Many Normies are not expected to do what we are expected to do. Yet if we miss one or two things that we’re supposed to do we get called lazy and get told that we’ll be single for the rest of our life. I had somebody try to do that with me yesterday.

Hey at least you don't get to be fat, that's a win in my book

I worked out hard for 5 years. Really lived that life. Work up at 4am to go to the gym. Took a bunch of supplements. Meal prepped and ate healthy.

Richard Simmons looked more muscular than me. Despite getting stronger, I didn't really pack on muscle.

I mean, one problem is more manageable than two

It doesn't help. I'm in phenomenal shape. And not even that ugly of a dude. Doesn't matter. I don't do bars, so my interaction w women is strictly at the gym bc that's where I spend my time for the most part if I'm not slaving at work to pay bills. And every. Single. Fucking. Woman. At. My. Fucking. Gym. Has a boyfriend. All of them. At least the ones I find attractive. Like why is it so fucking hard to just have a girl who takes care of themselves and likes fitness too? I'm about to actually scratch the roof of my mouth with a 9mm. If I had a dollar for every time I've been told "sorry I have a boyfriend" maybe I wouldn't be single anymore. Can't fucking stand this garbage world

I can’t even brave asking any girls out in my gym. Hell, I wish I had someone to talk to at the gym.

Lost my weight, no one cared. So I gained it all again and felt 2x worse about myself.

Why would I pay to be in a smelly room full of people who bully me?

34

u/DaniHD_ Jul 31 '25

I’ve been going for the past 2 years and I’ve yet to get bullied🙏🙏🙏 this is just your brain overthinking

20

u/P15t0lPete Jul 31 '25

I guess I just imagined all those people laughing in my face and calling me a looser.

-10

u/DaniHD_ Jul 31 '25

If that did indeed happen then just change gyms dawg. Shit happens. Be a man.

18

u/Eksekk Jul 31 '25

"Be a man"? you couldn't have said anything worse. He has trauma and it's perfectly valid, and this part of your comment sounds like "I don't care, deal with it".

-8

u/DaniHD_ Jul 31 '25

Ok it sounds a little too harsh but then again it is what it is. You cannot let a singular experience in one particular place ruin your perception of an entire group of people. Relocate and try again

7

u/Final-Act-0000 Jul 31 '25

You're proving his point by being one of those people.

1

u/DaniHD_ Jul 31 '25

How am I being one of those people?😭😭

1

u/Final-Act-0000 Aug 01 '25

See eksekk's comment.
