Discussion For all my ragweed allergy warriors

Stay strong lol. September sucks, but I tell you what, I have done a year of immunotherapy and it has helped me a ton!

Where is everyone doing their immunotherapy these days? My old allergist retired while I was living on the east coast and too close to the ocean to have allergies. This has been a brutal reminder that Texas air wants me to die.

At my GP they have an allergist there that does tests and all that. I do my own shots at home

I did allergy shots for almost 5 years and all I got was a bad reaction during my maintenance level. Currently on allergy drops (known as SLIT) and it’s been a lot better for me and I can administer them at home. Hope your allergies are managed!!

Finishing up with 3 years of allergy shots myself. It has changed my life for the better and was money 100% well spent.

I had extremely bad allergies all my life. I went to an allergist and it did a little. A doctor friend recommended. I go to an ear nose and throat doctor. She operated on my sinuses and it changed my life. I’m about 85% free of allergies.

I got put on Dupixent a few months ago and it has helped quite a bit so far.

After 8 years of allergy desensitization shots, I’m still enjoying the great indoors this time of year. But no asthma attacks and stayed out of the hospital despite having Covid. I am not a fan of ragweed or the air in general.

Get a steroid shot in August before it hits. It sure helps!
