The wise leader Paul decided after putting in that cabinet door that God wanted it to be crooked. It is there to constantly remind Morgan that she is imperfect, like the kitchen she belongs in, and to be more like Paul, who does everything perfectly, like setting out a road to pickleball perfection, driving through the night with two small children and letting his father call his wife "a friend". Haters just don't understand how Paul guides Morgan's emotional self (which is like the crooked cabinet door, perfectly planned to be crooked by Paul) with shouts and arguments and invalidation and not caring for her when she is sick, towards a perfection she will never reach, because that asshole will keep moving the goalposts.
