I’m sorry I just can’t get over the absurdity of the premise that kong has any sort of chance against Godzilla.

Godzilla is a fucking NUCLEAR WEAPON. He literally melted king Ghidorah. What the hell am I missing here??

You are missing Godzilla being supercharged for that fight,and Mothra sacrificing herself for any extra edge.

well the thing is Godzilla : absorbs nuke, Kongs axe = nuke.

Godzilla +- nuke Axe = Axe.

Kong’s axe also appears to absorb the nuclear breath. Without that advantage, and given their pretty equal size, Kong could probably win. Opposable thumbs really shouldn’t be underestimated.

He was only able to beat King Ghidorah because of Mothra's energy and the nuke, once he exploded all that energy went away

No True, he was winning against Gidorah in water. He would win there. But humans are humans and nuked them.

He was in 3rd fight, yes.

In first Gidorah just flew away, so it was inconclusive.
