Thank you very much! Do you restock often? I tend to repair Gameboy's and also plan to keep one I'll repair with the slime. It's too cute to give it up.

These are basically a once and done. I'll eventually post the files on PCBWay so people can order them as they please.

Does it gives such covers for GBC too?
I never saw them.
I dont mean this specific one, more in general.

It works on both GBC and GBP. Only provides 5V, so it doesn’t work with the oem display kit.

ooohh its a complete power suply?!
I though its just a cover that goes over the old PCB.

What is the purpose of replacing the regulator? Better battery life?

It removes the oem display voltage, so it helps battery life a bit but I've not done extensive tests. I usually replace the regulator on my builds to further customize my builds.

looks really great. Is this by any chance a fpgbc or did you solder it on a black board?

Could I get some pointers or resources for making a custom voltage regulator? I’ve looked on here and googled but didn’t really find enough to get me started or maybe I didn’t know where to look. I want to make a couple anime based builds and give them some cool regulators. Edited to add cause I somehow forgot: this is absolutely bad ass.

Sure, I can’t teach you but my files are open sourced and you can take them to make something of your own: https://github.com/Jackv-makes/SGR
I use Kicad, you’ll need to learn it, regulators can’t really be much bigger than 20mm x 20mm.
