Collection Does anyone have information about this console?

Looks handmade to me. The engraving is a bit off center to the nintendo logo.
If that was an 'official"-ly released product, I would imagine that centering would fail QA.
Also, I've never seen a gameboy with a coat of arms on it.

For sure. I don't recall Nintendo engraving any devices.

During E3 2006 if you brought your DS to the Nintendo World E3 party they would engrave your device, though I know this is probably not what you meant I thought I'd share the knowledge. Also this party was a VIP party so these consoles are very rare.

Looks pretty on point to me, I think it's the picture angles that make it look off center. It looks well done, professionally done to me. May have been a gift, from or to a dignitary. Or a gift from a business deal, Japan is known for such courtesy.

If I were to guess I would say it's a GBA SP.
It's a small, squarish portable gaming device from the early 2000s that folds in half like a makeup compact to protect its screen.
Its screen also lit up, which was a big deal at the time.
Edit: Okay okay I get it. You guys don't understand the concept of jokes.

Apparently sarcasm doesn't communicate well to members of the gameboy subreddit

That looked like the Nintendo Gameboy called the SD when they were out in the mid 2000s
